Synchronization is probably the most requested feature for Google Calendar and Google has finally done something about it. It’s not quite what you would’ve expected, but it’s still a promising start. Google Sync is an application that lets you synchronize your Blackberry’s calendar with Google Calendar.

“Using your BlackBerry smartphone’s native calendar, you can now access your Google calendar even when you don’t have network coverage and be alerted for upcoming appointments with sound or vibration. Your Google Calendar stays synchronized whether you access it from your computer or your phone. You can add or edit entries right on your BlackBerry smartphone or on your Google Calendar on the web.”

The application should be available at http://m.google.com/sync if you visit the page from your Blackberry’s browser. According to Google Mobile Blog, it supports Google Apps accounts.

This week, Google launched a mobile package of applications for Blackberry and an unified interface for iPhone. Google really tries to build solid mobile offerings, but only Google Maps is available for the most important mobile platforms. Hopefully, Google Sync will be released for other platforms and it will synchronize your contacts as well.

Remove Alpha Antivirus Quickly and Easily - Alpha Antivirus Hoax

Is your computer being bombarded with Alpha Antivirus popups and alerts, claiming that you are infected with spyware and need to install the software in order to remove it? If so, you’ve become a victim of the latest rogue antispyware threat as Alpha Antivirus won’t help you remove any infections off your computer because it actually is the infection. I know because I struggled for days trying to remove it until I decided to reach out to a computer friend of mine who showed me a tool that removed Alpha Antivirus in minutes.

What is Alpha Antivirus?

It’s the latest rogue antispyware program - meaning it poses as legitimate antispyware software to try and scam you into purchasing the “full version”, when in reality it is nothing more than spyware itself.

In addition to simply being a severe nuisance by continually popping up spyware alerts and scans on your computer and slowing it down, the rogue program is extremely dangerous as it also has the ability to steal passwords by logging your keystrokes. By doing so, this allows the hackers who created the rogue program to gain access to your personal accounts and ultimately attempt to steal your identity.

Because of this, it is crucial you get this dangerous spyware off your computer ASAP.

How Did I Get Infected with Alpha Antivirus?

There are a number of ways to contract this infection:

- Downloading infected shareware or freeware
- Downloading torrents
- Clicking ads on gambling and pornographic websites
- Facebook games (many games have serious security holes) - which is how I believe I got it

Regardless of how you did get infected with it, you need to get it off your computer and make sure you don’t get infected again.

How to Remove Alpha Antivirus Quickly and Easily

The bad news is that this spyware threat, along with many other rogue antispyware programs like it, is extremely difficult to remove manually. It places a number of random files deep within your file system and registry making it hard to find and identify the infected files.

This is also a contributing factor as to why many of the completely free and basic antispyware tools out there couldn’t find and remove it from my computer either. As I found out, they simply don’t keep their software up to date and therefore cannot find and eliminate these newer rogue antispyware threats.

So when I reached out to my friend about how to remove Alpha Antivirus, he told me the only way I could get rid of it is by using an advanced spyware removal tool that updates its database regularly and he introduced me to a tool that does exactly that.

Within minutes of downloading and installing the tool, I was rid of Alpha Antivirus for good.

Also, because this particular tool also includes advanced real time protection that monitors my computer for ongoing threats, I am protected from ever getting infected with another rogue antispyware software again - especially considering I don’t want to give up my Facebook games!

So if you are infected with Alpha Antivirus, my advice to you is to skip right past trying to remove it manually or with mediocre tools and save yourself hours of frustration by getting your hands an advanced spyware removal tool - you’ll be glad you did.

Bungie has said that the future of the co-operative Halo 3: ODST mode Firefight is not set, and that it has every chance of reappearing in future Halo games.

“The number one question these days is whether we’re going to do DLC for ODST and add more Firefight maps. Right now we honestly have no plans to do that because we have another huge game in the works,” community lead Brian Jarrard told Eurogamer during the Penny Arcade Expo.

“I can’t talk too much about Reach specifics, but hopefully the game mode’s going to be received as well we think it will be, and people are going to enjoy it. I don’t think we’ve ever been known to really take things away from each successive release, so I think it’s safe to say that if Firefight gets a lot of traction and people love it, it probably has a good future home in our next title as well.”

We also asked Jarrard, given the Orbital Drop Shock Trooper’s unique characteristics relative to the Master Chief (his shorter jump, different weapon skills and lack of a recharging overshield), whether the developer had considered dropping ODSTs into regular Halo multiplayer and seeing how that played out.

“I think a decision was made pretty much at the beginning that we were not going to touch the competitive multiplayer aspect for this game,” he said. “I’m not aware of any real time spent on injecting ODST into the competitive multiplayer experience.”

Halo 3: ODST is due out for Xbox 360 on 22nd September. Look out for a review around then.

You read that right. In honor of WoW’s 5-year anniversary, in the upcoming Patch 3.2.2, Onyxia will make her triumphant return to the world of Azeroth!

The patch will convert Onyxia’s Lair to a 10- and 25-player dungeon, along with new items whose models match the old-school gear available in the vanilla instance, like Tier 2 helms. Additional rewards include a 310% speed flying mount modeled after Onyxia herself!

As a bonus, anyone who logs in during the 5-year anniversary event in November will get an Onyxia Whelpling pet.

The full announcement after the break!

Onyxia Returns in Patch

Onyxia Returns in Patch

The full announcement reads as follows:

She has lurked in her lair and done battle with the many brave adventurers who travelled to that familiar location over the years. Now, in honor of the World of Warcraft 5-year anniversary, the dreaded brood mother Onyxia is being revamped to make a return to the forefront of Azeroth, as part of our big plans for the upcoming 3.2.2 content patch.

This permanent update to Onyxia will convert the dungeon into 10- and 25-player modes. We will be adding new items to Onyxia’s loot table that have the same model as some of the classic loot from this dungeon, like Tier 2 helms, with stats updated to match the current level of content. There will be a special new item too: a normal drake-sized 310% speed flying mount modeled after Onyxia herself called an Onyxia Broodling. We will also be updating the encounter mechanics to be more fitting for modern raiding, but we can guarantee players will get to experience the frightening horror of deep breaths once again.

Then for a limited time, after the 5-year anniversary event officially begins in November, anybody who logs in will receive an Onyxia Brood Whelpling pet.

We’re very excited to bring this classic encounter back to provide a fun new experience for both new and veteran players. Further details will be available in the near future, and we will be setting up the Public Test Realms soon to help test out this fight along with all the new content we have planned for the patch. Keep an eye on the forums for updates!

Aion Online Guide;

A few weeks ago I stumbled upon this Aion guide from Killerguides, and was instantly in love. I’ve been a fan of Aion since early beta and consider myself quite knowledgeable about the game, but some of the tips in this guide really opened my eyes and showed me there’s always something new to learn.

This Aion guide was written by expert players, who apparently play ten times more than I do and decided to share their knowledge with the rest of the players. The guide is a vault of interesting and useful information for all kinds of players, both beginners and the ones with more experience. It will show you neat strategies about many aspects of the game.

My favorite part were the leveling and kinah making guides. Even though I already had one character on nearly max level, I decided to give it a shot with another since I wanted to try a different class, and amazingly enough it worked like a charm. I knew what quests to pursue, and most of all I didn’t have to grind like before. I don’t know about you, but grinding the same mobs for hours is really not my style and I was happy to be able to avoid it.

The kinah guides were interesting as well. Some of the tips are about selling and reselling items on the auction house, which has some really nice tips. There’s also several great farming locations but I hate farming nearly as much as grinding - is there really as difference. There’s also some info about professions, especially the crafting ones, as well as equipment, class info and strategies, Abyss tricks and more.

I still open it up from time to time to check up on things and make sure I didnt’ forget anything. It helped me get a head start in Aion and I didn’t regret downloading it. This Aion guide is possibly the best investment you can make if you want to learn more about the game and your character and I recommend checking it out!

Halo 3: ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) is the coming addition to the Halo series for the Xbox 360, and is set during the Halo 2 timeline within the city of New Mombasa. You will first be playing as an ODST known as “the Rookie”, trying to locate your five squadmates who are scattered throughout the city. Any fans of the show Firefly may be interested to know that Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, and Alan Tudyk all lend their voices as ODSTs.

Halo 3 ODST Orbital Drop

Halo 3 - Orbital Drop Shock Troopers

The game will feature an open world environment where the player is free to explore the city while trying to find his squadmate’s beacons. This is a noteworthy change of pace from the very linear gameplay the Halo series has had thus-far. That being said, there will be  “flashbacks” during which the player switches to one of the other squad members and is funneled through areas with foes aplenty and guns ablaze.

Where’s My Energy Shield?

Since you’re not playing as a genetically enhanced several ton cyborg supersoldier, you will no longer have a rechargeable energy shield, or radar for spotting enemies. But Bungie is looking out for us, and has added a new feature to the heads up display: The VISR(Visual Intelligence System, Reconnaissance); Turn on VISR, and all enemies will be outlined in red, all friendlies will be outlined in green, and important items will be outlined in yellow. This will come in handy, as it can highlight enemies that might not otherwise be visible in the game’s darker environments. Oh, and the HUD’s got a nifty compass now, as well.

This.. Is My Boomstick!

Okay, don’t freak out, but those crazy cats at Bungie went and took out duel wielding for the campaign mode. Another result of being a mere human, I suppose. But there is some good news: Halo junkies will be glad to know that the original Halo magnum is back, in all it’s zoomy, headshotty goodness; though a sound suppressor has now been added on for extra sneakiness. Also, the smg has been upgraded with tighter shooting, an increased zoom level, increased damage, and a silencer. Covenant carnage has never been so quiet.

Face Certain Death With Friends!

One feature that has a lot of the Halo 3 crowd buzzing is Firefight mode, in which up to four players play on one console or join through system link to face off against Covenant forces that increase in both number and difficulty after each wave. The first wave may see you facing off against grunts, but eventually you will be pitted against a group of Brute Chieftains. And the rounds in between are made up of randomly selected opponents, so trying to plan your way through may prove impossible. Oh, and I should mention that skulls are activated at random as well, making for an even more insanely intense fight. See how long you and your friends can survive! Maps for this gametype are unlocked as you progress through the campaign mode and total ten in all.

The Future of Gaming  or Something.

Overall, this game looks like an interesting addition to the Halo collection,  with some changes to gameplay that could freshen up a series that’s becoming stale to some. And I almost forgot to mention, as an added bonus every copy of the game will come with an invitation to join in the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta, about which Bungie has been quite hush-hush.
